Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using layrd, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use layrd for your own lawful personal or commercial creative work, subject to these Terms and applicable store rules.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to the photos, images, project files, edits, templates you create, and exports you produce with layrd. You are responsible for the content you import, edit, export, and share, including ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use it.

4. Pro Subscriptions, Lifetime Purchase, and Platform Scope

layrd may offer optional Pro access through Apple App Store and Google Play. Pro may unlock features such as higher-resolution exports, premium templates, advanced text effects, Google/system font access, animated exports, and other expanded creative controls.

Subscriptions. Monthly and annual Pro subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the Apple App Store or Google Play account that made the purchase.
Lifetime purchase. If available, a lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks Pro for the lifetime of the layrd app on the same store platform and store account, subject to these Terms, applicable law, and store rules. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
Platform scope. Purchases are tied to the store account and platform where they were made. An Apple purchase does not automatically grant Google Play, web, Electron, desktop, or other-platform access, and a Google Play purchase does not automatically grant Apple, web, Electron, desktop, or other-platform access.
Web and desktop. At launch, Pro purchases and restore flows are available only through the iOS and Android apps. The website, Electron, and desktop builds may remain free-tier only unless a separate supported checkout or account system is introduced.

5. Payment, Renewal, Cancellation, Restore, and Refunds

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscription renewal, billing, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by Apple or Google. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings.
Deleting layrd does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the relevant store account if you do not want future renewals.
After cancellation, subscription access may continue until the end of the paid billing period, depending on Apple or Google rules.
The Restore Purchases feature checks the current store account for an eligible layrd Pro purchase. Restore cannot recover purchases made on a different store platform, a different store account, or purchases that the store has refunded, revoked, expired, or otherwise made inactive.
Refund requests and eligibility are handled under Apple App Store or Google Play policies. We may assist with support questions, but we cannot guarantee that Apple or Google will approve a refund.
Prices, trial availability, subscription periods, product packaging, and included Pro features may vary by country, platform, store account, and time, as permitted by applicable law and store policies.

6. Free Tier

The free tier may limit export resolution and may add a watermark to some exports, including depth, split, or premium-template outputs. Pro removes or expands these limits as described in the app.

7. Third-Party Services

layrd uses third-party services and platform APIs to provide app functionality, including RevenueCat for purchase management, Apple and Google for payments, Sentry for diagnostics, PostHog for optional analytics, model delivery networks for AI model downloads, Google Fonts for optional fonts, and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim/CartoCDN for map templates. Use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse layrd, reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, interfere with app operation, use the app for unlawful activity, or create or share content that violates third-party rights or applicable laws.

9. Intellectual Property

layrd, including its software, design, interface, templates, graphics, branding, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of layrd to you.

10. Availability, Changes, and Ongoing Services

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features, templates, services, or platform support. Some Pro features may depend on operating systems, app stores, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, model or font delivery networks, mapping providers, or other third-party services. We do not guarantee that layrd will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, operating system, store account, or third-party service. If a feature is changed, removed, or replaced, we will try to preserve fair access to substantially similar Pro functionality where reasonably possible, but Pro does not guarantee any specific third-party service, template, model, font, export format, or integration will remain available forever.

11. Disclaimer

layrd is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, content, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of layrd.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of layrd after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
